Nope. You're getting bad MPG due to something else. The 6-ports control the top-end power of your engine.

well.. depends how he drives it.. if hes up top the powerband all the time and its a tad starved for air.. then.. i would imagine that it would at least contribute to bad gas mileage..

but usually bad gas mileage is a worn out O2 sensor..

soak the actuator rods in WD-40 or liquid wrench for a day or so, then go at it lightly with a hammer and see if they free up. if not u have to take it all apart and clean them and if you go to that trouble you might as well use some pineapple inserts for $50.00 or you can just wire them, stick them open (hammer works for that too hehe just don't hit it too hard!!!)

hehe I didn't have the patience so mine are wired. the 6 port 13B is so low on low end power anyway but thankfully the torque band is really broad (peaking at 3500 on a stock motor I think). It would bother me on a V-Tec motor since the torque peak is SO high...in those motors it takes revs for torque to grow and grow, just like the HP curve but on our cars the torque curve peaks LOW and stays pretty flat so I don't care much about losing some pulling power before 5K or so bc the powerband stays relatively the same.
