are my irons messed up? (fixed)

hey guys. im in the process of rebuilding my s4 13b. i have the haynes manual and all and i am using it as a guideline for my rebuild. i had a blown coolant seal. well as i was taking off the old seal, this came to my attention. i hope they are not messed up. but if they are, that sucks for me, and if they are does anyone have any for sale. i want to drive my 7 again. its been a long week. and the gasket kit from atkins is on its way, by the way.

heres the middle iron.

and heres the front iron.

thanks guys for the help. and also if its broken, is it repairable?

Junk. Use them for book ends, or bridgeport them and paint them up for display. I find they also make good door stops. You can also make a bench grinder stand and use them for the base.

Wow, that motor went big. Every motor Ive had with a coolant seal failure only managed to blow out in one spot. Luckily used irons are cheap and plentiful. If you can, try to sourse a front iron of the same series (S4, correct?) The o-ring pedistil for the front cover is specific between S4s and S5s. You can make one work with the other, but its a bit more work.

Think on the bright side! Now you have extra housings you can practice porting on! I would do that, then port the new ones you get, and after that, the old ones would have payed for themselves because they taught you a valuable skill that you can practice in the future!
