My Greddy FMIC Install Pics

I spent the last couple of days installing my Greddy 24V FMIC intercooler kit and trimming my RE-Amemiya FC Cowl to fit on with the intercooler.

It took a little longer because I had to Ghetto Fabricate a TB elbow until I receive the greddy throttle body elbow (was missing from the kit, but it's on the way).
I Ghetto rigged it from PVC but it looks pretty good considering it's pvc.

The pics are in progress, I am having my BOV mounted at a machine shop and I still need to mount my RE kit.

I was going to bash you for having a TB elbow with 3 90* bends in it. Then I read it and its only a temp rig. Looks good!.

Don't use PVC for long, when heated it will release chlorine gas (which is corrosive).

It's just until I receive the elbow from 13BAce he is shipping it once he gets it from his friend.

I'll post more pics once I get the BOV on. I'm having a billet aluminum flange made, mine was steel.

I didn't realize how big this intercooler was until I fitted it. It is thick! I had to cut the mouth on my RE kit almost all the way back.

I also had to remove my fog lights from the kit and cut the fog light holes and brake duct holes almost flush.

I actually tried to clock my turbo (the rspec is piped down off the turbo outlet) and realized I was a dumb ***. The hybrid turbo will not clock 180 degrees down because the stock turbo manifold is directly in the path of the turbo outlet when clocked and the oil line is in the way.

So I went ahead with the vpec for it's relatively easy install.

word. mine actually look more grey/green. Anyways greddy does sell other blue couplers that are silicone but have something similar to a gel coat or vinyl on the outside so it's pretty resistanct to dirt. too bad they didnt include those and had to cheap out on us.

Yeah when you saw it last time it was up on blocks with the motor hanging from a cherry picker, right?

It has come a long way since then.

Thanks everybody for the kind words,

Damn it.
I got it all hooked up and now I am only boosting at 10 PSI max (with top mount I ran 14 PSI).

I hope it's from a leak in my temporary ghetto TB elbow!

Anyone else have a big boost drop switching to front mount?

Has to be, right.

You have the same kit right?

Did your boost levels stay the same when you went front mount?

yea I have the Vspec boost didnt really change noticeably but if anything response was a little better. Didn't notice any pressure drop with the greddy kit.
