My fuel setup..... what do you guys think?

my current mods are
s5 block
s5 NA rotors
large street port
to4 hybrid turbo .60 cold side to4b compressor with housing
stock top mount heat adder!!

for my fuel mods i thought about doing this
modifing the stock intank pump bracket to accept two FD pumps ran in parallel and run some 720 secondaires, im also running a HKS fcon with FCD and i know my car was plenty rich on that setup... i think it was like 10.5- 11 at 11psi of boost not to sure on the details...

my goals with this motor for rite now are low im trying to get 280 with this setup

FD pumps in parallel should be good enough for 400hp according some people if not... ill just run a single walbro... lol NA rotors has been done quite often... look at some of the turbo'd cars they have there... S5 na rotors are scarce and they pay a premium to get them to put in there turbo motors and they get REALLY GOOD RESULTS...... anyways off that subject the high compresion issue is takin care of...

stock top mount sucks even with the stock turbo. I think it's going to hold you back powerwise, as well as cause the intake temps to be a little higher than you want. You can always throw on more fuel to compensate and prevent any sort of detonation, but that's a little crude.

I wouldn't mess with running the twin FD pumps, just run the single walbro that will have plenty of power. If you go with bigger injectors on the Fconn don't you need the GCC. I don't know if just bigger secondaries would be enough, you might need to go with 4 720's all around, especially because you might be running lean before the secondaries could come online.

get rid of the stock IC. high compression + hot intake temps = bad

The starion FMIC isn't worth putting on the car. Stick with the NPR if you do any junkyard IC.

izuzu npr is the big delievery truck thing. There are two npr intercoolers, you want the small one. The big one, is really big.

I was all for fabricating my own IC, but after you find a good core, buy all the couplings, and the piping, I'd rather just get the greddy kit for 860.

I agree, the Greddy kit looks so much more impressive than a big rig's IC

I use the NPR IC in horizontal mount w/ my hybrid turbo. Looks better than any Greddy kit to me.

I use 2x 720cc and 2x 1600cc controlled by Haltech, fed in parallel from Aeromotive dual port RRFPR and Walbro pump to fuel my hybrid.

W/ those high comp rotors you need to make sure there is lots of fuel, very good cooling IC and KEEP BOOST DOWN.

How were you planning on keeping boost down on your hybrid? Stock exhaust? Do a search, someone used a hybrid on high compression engine and had boost creep to ~15 psi and subsequent detonation.

My hybrid crept past 20psi by 3,500 rpm the 1st time I boosted it, luckily I had POV to save it and lots of fuel, efficient IC and LOW COMPRESSION rotors so no detonation.

Let me know if you need me to fill you in on WG mods for hybrids...

blue tII, I love the Horrizontal mount, but that's a little more fabrication than bolting up a greddy kit. What are your intake temps looking like?

In 4th gear w/ brakes and gas floored at 4,000 rpm 10psi boost for a couple of miles my intake temps rose from (ambient) 15 C to 26 C. This is w/ stock hood ( IC venting out trans tunnel like FMIC instead of out special vented hood I will have). Of course at lower speeds on a hot day at the track it won't be as spectacular, but I can't wait to see.

Here is Dcee's thread on his hybrid turbo high compression set-up that I mentioned earlier.

https://www.rx7club.com/forum/showth...wastegate+mods

Doing hugely ported stock WG vented out 2 1/4" hole in backplate only kept my boost creep down to 17 psi on my T4 "O" tim wheel clipped 15 deg exhaust side hybrid, so I have a HKS 60mm external WG on the way that will go on the backplate w/ stock WG door removed and passages bored out as big as housing will allow.
