Angry my front left wheel is locked!!

I have tried everything from prying the pad loose, to spraying wd40 all over the rotor, and using a huge poll to get leverage to turn it... nothing.

any way that you guys can think of to get it loose? or do i have to take the ******* caliper off...

doing the work right now, so let me know!

thanks!

Seized caliper or wheel bearing? Whatever the problem is, I can't see you could fix it without taking the caliper off.

You 100% need to take the caliper off.

there is a chance that the guide pin might be bent, causing it the caliper to get stuck. I was one of them.

and it took me about 2 hours of banging and banging before it will come off.

We got our calipers off in under 20 min. Very straight-forward.

There is a possibility your brake hose is collapsed internally. Try opening your bleeder and see if that helps.

Pads rusted to the rotor....

In the time it took for you to post, you could have removed the caliper.

i figured it out without taking off the caliper..
i threw the spare on, and stuck a pole in the groves between the spokes, and i was able to get it to move like that.

sorry for all these stupid threads i've been posting, i just like to hear 2nd opinions.

later.

Take off one caliper bolt and the whole caliper slides out and up...

When I had that problem, I just rocked the car back and forth until it broke loose.
