My first rotary. Can you help?

i'll start by saying that i am new to rotaries but i've helped build a some very fast turbo and N/A honda motors in the past. I recently just bought a clean 2nd gen for only 450, just the car no motor. My question is what motor should i put in? i know a little about rx-7s but not much. if anyone can give any advice i would greatly apreciate it.

Well, since you posted here the 99.9% of the answers to "what motor should I put in?" is going to be a rotary. More specifically if you want to tinker with stuff a lot, try to find a 13BT. That is the turbo version in the 2nd generation area. It would probably be a good idea to skim the FAQs at the top as well, it might answer many questions you have about the RX-7 in general. Search function is good too.

I agree with the 13BT, good engine and wouldn't be much problem to get in there.

Welcome to the wide world of rotory. theres a lot of us here and we are always willing to help and voice our opinions whether you like them or not. like said the 13BT is gonna be the easiest way to go to make decent power at an affordable price. What year is this car and what kind of second gen was it?
