Tip: Keeping any seals in good shape

Ive found that using armorall on every single seal on my car makes the thing almost water tight, just thought it might be good to tell ya all.

hmm, my seals are as soft as can be and feel better than seals on a new car, it dont eat em!

They could be getting softer from slowly eating on them. I dont know either way its just suggestion because i have heard the same thing about it eating at rubber.

there is this stuff I saw at the mazda dealer ship that softens rubber seals....ummmm gumi compound

On my 1988 SE non-turbo, I have used spray protectant on all rubber seals/parts,rubber bushings/suspension parts, dash and interior plastic parts since purchasing car new in 1988. All said rubber/plastic parts are in good shape with no deterioation/cracking - not even dash with is in excellent shape. A good name brand silicon protectant will not eat rubber parts - this is a myth.
