My first 13B is now dead

Hey all, I thought I would tell all of you that I had my first 13B die on my the other day. But a little backround first.
I bought the car last November, and did the usuall checks on it and the compression was way low. So I bought a spare motor and started to rebuild it, hoping that my current motor woudl last me until I got it finished, well it didn't.
I went to go play hockey and the car was running fine. I went out and had a smoke, then I tried to start the car, it acted just like it was flooded, so I did the unflooding procedure and let it sit for a while while I went out and partied for a while. When I got back I started up and sounded like ****, plus it was vibrating really bad, I was pissed off. Driving home was a pain in the *** seeing as I had to drive up a big hill with a car that had NO power.
I am now in the process of ordering my rebuild kit (Atkins B kit). And I am measuring the parts that I have (everything looks great, and I only spent $100 for a complete motor with intake and all that stuff )
Though I would share sorry for the long post, but now I feel initiated :p

Kudos for doing the rebuild yourself. When you're done you'll know what you're doing so you can rebuild the other one and have a spare.

Best of luck

A better man than I

Common problem, and you are a better man than I. I just can't spend the money on the rotary, when my first NA died, I went v8 and would never go back the other way, but the rotaries are a ton of fun either way. Super motor for playing but not so much for the reliable power and torque stuff. HAve fun and keep us informed on how it goes.

The same thing happend to me in my vert two weeks ago. I'll be going the TII swap route soon. Then I'll take my dead engine and do a rebuild on it and keep it as a spare. Keep us updated on you rebuild.
