My FC wont start!!! :(

I don't know what the hell is going on with her. I turn the key and nothing happens. The Gauges or radio don't come to life and the starter doesn't even click when the key is turned. The head lights still come on though. The battery and fuses appear to be fine. Connections to the battery are tight and clean. Does anyone know what else I should check out?

No, idiot lights do not come on. I've looked through all the fuses and they all appear to be good.

What about the under the hood fuses? Have you checked those, and the interior fuze box?

It sounds like something shorted and poped a fuse.

Check the big boy in the middle, the main fuse. It's held to the bus bars by bolts- don't try to yank it out...

Does your main relay click when the key is turned? Or do you hear ANY clicks, for that matter...

Done anything to the car lately?

im going with the main fuse too, i mean if nothing- i mean nothing happens than either every single component in the car has simultanousely failed or you aren't getting power to them

and the most likely or the two scenarios is............

That main fuse looks good but I'll give that a try. I haven't done anything to the car lately. I drove it yesterday, parked it and when I got in about 3 hours later to get to work she wouldn't crank. Last night I figured OK its the starter but today when I went to see if she'd crank I noticed that when I turn the key to ACC and On, the guages, idiot lights and radio lights don't come on. When I turn the key to the start position Nothing happens. No click, no nothing.
The headlights and interior lights light up when I turn the light switch.

Has the ignition switch given you any problems lately?

Is any of the following working with the key on (just before the start position)?

Main relay clicking?
Circuit opening relay clicking (under the dash, by the steering column)?
Windshield wiper working?
Turn signals working?
Warning lights panel?

Nothing happens,

No clicks, wipers don't come on, turn signals not working, warning lights do not come on.

It's gotta be related to a main fuse, then, or battery/cable path to the fuse box, because even some things off of the "hot" batt bus aren't working, like starter, main relay...But other "hot bus" items are, like headlights...What about your brake lights? Not that it matters at this point...Pull the 10mm bolts from the sides of the main fuse, yank the fuse, and check it out with a meter (resistance)...

if its still not working.. try the ignition switch itself.. when u turn it to on.. or even start the switch runs a group of contacts in its own.. its they r bad then the rest of the vechile doesnt even know ur attempting to start the car or even turn it on

if confused.. 1) all fuses r good u say 2) NOTHING turns on that requires the ignition switch work. 3) headlights run off a seperate system and can generally be turned on without the switch ( if for odd reason they do go thro switch they will be on a seperate circut for night time safty reasons ) if u have a digital multi meter.. or test light look for a fuse in your panel that runs off the switch.. if ur mechanical u can do this urself.. start in the off position get a ground and touch the metal part of fuse ( light should be off ) turn it on ACC.( light should be on * radio, gauge lights) -- turn it to ON ( radio, gauge lights, idiot lights ) if your get no power on any of the 3 then the switch is bad = needs replaced.. i have no idea what they cost but this is an easy check. =) i hope u find the problem

OK, can someone PM me with how to hotwire this girl. I can use the key to unlock the wheel but that won't be needed seeing as I just want to see if the ignition switch is the problem. If she starts while hotwiring I'll at least know that there isn't anything too major with her.
Again, please PM the info as I don't think its a good idea to put that info for just anyone to read.

Lol, while you're under there trying to touch two wires together, why don't you just check the power wire for voltage? That's gonna tell you which direction you need to go from there...
