if you tap into the o2 sensor itself directly will you get an accuate reading?

well.. autometer af isn't exactly known for accuracy but ya know.

will the tap affect the voltage signal from the o2 giving your ecu tainted information?

I tape in the O2 sensor wire....
the only differnce is it will read lean on start up not rich.....though a/f meters are not needed as much as other gauges are..........

yes yes EGT I know That'll most likely be a 3 gauge purchase.. EGT, coolant Temp, and Oil pressure.. but for now I seem to have a hole in my wallet

IMO, I wouldn't tap Into the O2 Sensor being Copper Sheild In all. I woulldn't want to disrupt that. I plan on Installing my A/F Ratio Gauge soon.

Can anyone confirm If the Diagram, In the Thread, Is accurate In terms of Installing the A/F wire at the suggested pin?

Autometer A/F gauges are only accurate at WOT anyways...

so your supposed to ground the gauge to the ground in the ecu and not to the body of the car?

It's a preference to ground It there.

I'm concerned about the Pin, on the provided pic Is the right one to use for my O2 Sensor!

Any A/F gauge wired to a stock sensor is vague in it's readings to say the least. Taking the signal right from the O2 sensor wire is fine, just keep in mind how inacurate the reading will be. From what I've seen of the Autometer compared with a true wideband the Autometer should read full rich on boost.
