My engine won't make power after 4000 RPM

Hey guys, I was wonder what the problem could be if my engine is making very little power after 4000 rpm? What would it take to fix the problem and what is the price range? Thank so much guys.

Yea... I looked around but the only problem i see listed is the hesitation from 3500-4000, this car wont make power at all[I] after 4000

mm... so try replacing the injectors? could that be the only problem?

it could be a combination of numerous things, but i'd bet your injectors are leaking (secondary), get them sent out to get cleaned, also clean your grouds and make new ones if needed for good measure. I know there is a wonderful write up on how to make new grounds in the archive.

All three are right, make sure they are comming on, if not try to find out WHY, grounds can be the problem, bad ECU can be the problem, messed up harness, etc...

are the RPMs continuing to go up to redline and your just not making power? or are your RPMs just stoping at 4K?

mine will go to red line very slowly very slow .at full throttle but at half it will rev just fine and smooth

hey, do you enjoy telling people who just joined the site to search? He's new, how hard would it have been to just answer the question. If you didn't know the answer, then just don't post. I don't care how many times you've seen this thread littering the 2nd gen area, telling someone to search without giving them an answer is just mean. it's like saying "I had the time to post, just didn't want to help you by doing so" you wasted your time, and his.
