If it ain't broke, don't fix it. As long as no symptoms, and running fine, don't fret. Mine went 160,000 then a cracked seal. Some reports over 200,000 miles. You could have a compression test taken, but that really isn't a good indicator of how much time is remaining on the clock, providing the numbers are passable. If the numbers are below minimum level, then who knows.

I would opt to do a rebuild before it's too late.Would save you a lot of money in the long run. From damaged rotor housings and rotors.

The TII motor is a grenade with the pin pulled just waiting to go off ;-)

137,000 is impressive.. most people I talk to pop them around 85-100K but then again they jack up the boost... and as you say you could have a rebuild.

Things to look out for? Lots of smoke comming out the back.. heh.. does it burn a lot coolant or more oil than normal?

I don't know my friend has a 10thae that has 196,000 on it and pulls 110 psi. So you never know, it could just last to 200.

mine went at 138,600. I thought it was running pretty good too, but it began to flood quite often and just got worse. Finally I checked compression and I had a blown apex and found a couple bad side seals during the teardown.

As far as rotary's go that's the worst advice ever.

If you pull apart and rebuild a non-blown motor chances are all of the internal parts will be within spec and reusable. If you blow the motor and then decide to do a rebuild you'll probably be looking for a new rotor, and maybe a housing or two. Save yourself some cash and headache and rebuild now if you have the money.

From now on I will be considering a rebuild just part of my regular maintanace routine.
