88 10AE TII.

new racing beat 3" downpipe, new 3" cat, new catback exhaust. engine was rebuilt about 1300 miles ago. when i looked under my hood, i saw my downpipe glowing red, and this was only about 10-15 mins of letting the car sit idle after warming up the car from COLD.

 

Check the ignition timing, if its on the stock ecu reset the idle and idle air mixture.

sounds pretty normal to me. just running a little rich i beleive at start. i wouldnt worry about it

 

well i havent checked if its still glowing red after driving it for a period of time. i just noticed this yesterday. i dont believe the cat is blocked as everything is newly installed. i'll have my shop check the ignition timing for me next week.
