Talking My contribution to the second gen section.

first off i am in the process of a a5 turbo swap into my s4 na. i ran into the problem of wiring up the ecu and have found out that only the engine harness will plug into the ecu and not the one plug off the body. thread explaining the problem> https://www.rx7club.com/2nd-generation-specific-1986-1992-17/s4-na-s5-jdm-turbo-conversion-405617/

now everyone was telling me that i had to find a donor s5 car to get the plug off the body harness. i wasnt to happy about this for a couple reasons:
1. i know that anyone with an s5 chassis is not going to hack their harness for me
2. i have never seen an s5 at a junk yard so i wasnt expecting to find one

so i went to this junk yard to check around cuz i heard there was an s5 vert there. i go to the junk yard and they had crushed all the cars there except 10 or 15 of them. the only mazda in the whole place was a early 90's mx3. so i decided to go check it out and see if any of the plugs look the same. one of them in the ecu looked like it would fit so i hacked it off and went home to test it.

and it ******* fit!!! so the point of this thread is to let everyone know that if you are going to do a series swap dont ruin a rx7 getting the plug off it, just go get it off a mx3!
