My christmas Present!

Hi all, new user here. What a great forum! Just got a beautiful shiney red

youll hate it soo much sometimes. and then youll drive it and youll forget about everything you hate about it.

sometimes i think about the problems mine has (which isnt a lot just no working sunroof and rear wiper) then i go in my garage and look at it and all i have to say to my 7 is "you had me at hello"

Yup...they are money pits for sure. But damn if you own one you will have a hard time finding something to replace it.

I am in Central Illinois, I guess not too far from Davenport so, could be the same car.

I bought it as a tag on to the car I bought from my wife. Car Loan at Blue Book on her car covered the purchase cost on both. Really though, can't believe how nicely it does run. 100600 original miles, so only averages about 5500 miles per year on it.
Yes I am sure that it's gonna cost me if I decide to kick up performance, but right now, it's a sweet runner.

Thanks for the welcomes!!

Doug

Yup, got the leather boot too. Haven't really had a chance to try it top down yet though. Maybe if the weather really hits the low 40s this weekend like it's forcast to, but you know forcasting, or weather guessing. The best laid plans can be destroyed by a bad forcast.

Thanks for the welcome! Looking forward to cruising topless!~

Low 40's eh? I would freeze in that thing, anything below 70 is freezing for us Tejanos.

Welcome to the forums, sweet lookin' vert.

Don't mess around with the convertible top unless it's over 50 degrees outside (Mazda's own recommendation).

Welcome to the club, S5 verts are hard to beat-way ahead of their time as far as convertibles go...

Yup, 70 sounds much better top down weather. However, I am just anxious to try it out. The manual says don't use it under 41 degrees. So, I may just try it, but more likely I am going to wait until the it's shirt sleeve weather again.

Thanks for the greetings.
