OK so I drove someone to gopick up a rental car fromteh office today. I am at the rental place like 45 minutes (Thriftys slow) and I come back out and my '86 GXL is horribly flooded. I HAD TO PUSH START IT!!! This is gonn abe my daily driver in about 2 weeks and I need to know what to do to fix this quick. I am thinking it might be leaky injectors? I dunno is there anything else it could be.

this trick usually does it. it works real quick if its not flooded bad.

did it smoke at all after you push started it and smell like raw gas? you can get the injectors rebuilt or get new ones if it happens very often

 

Yes it smoked very much badly and smelled of raw fuel very badly as well. but runs great after started (which it barely did)
