Angry My car won't start

I went to go put gas in my 87 n/a and after I filled up with gas and tried to start it, it wouldn't even turn over. All of the lights came on, so the battery is still working. I think it's the start, but not to sure. Can someone give some tips?

I know the battery's not low because I tried to jump start it. I was wondering if it could be something other than the starter.

Does it click when you turn the key? It doesn't sound typical of a bad starter, but it could be. I would ckeck the water level in your battery, take it to autozone and have it checked, and if it is good, charge it if necessary. Let us know how that goes.

It was a bad starter. I had to buy a new one that cost me $100, even after I exchanged my old one.

It was the starter for me, you can check be taking the black plug off the starter and putting battery directly to the terminal on the start. Make sure the car is in nuetral. If you hear the starter turning then it isn't the starter.
Hope this helps.

The new starter is lifetime, but it still costs 100 dollars. It's a good thing I don't have to worry about paying that again.
