Exclamation my car took a ****

so my engine is ****. My friend has an n/a s5 and I want to swap it out. he says that it runs off an s4 ecu cause he ran it that way. he says if i get an msd rpm switch and run it to my 5th and 6th auxillary ports, it'll be faster. but id I dont get it, it will run like an s4. no to great. but, I wanna know if the motor mounts would be the same. he says he's putting an s4 turbo engine in his 88 N\A. I want to know if he's bullshitting me. Aaroncake. what do you have to say about this stuff? Im just tryin to keep my fc on the road untill i get the turbo engine rebuilt.

Your friend has a 88 s5? Doesn't sound like he knows much.

well first off, hes talking about doing the electronic 6th port activation. My $0.02 cents, take the sleeves out and run without it, it just leaves those open, saves more space, saves more money, and saves more time. no it wont run like an s4 if it is an s5 engine it will just run with s4 maps for air/fuel and timing but it still has the higher compression and better balancing, if you can get a hold of a S-AFC I or II then you can tweak it to make it run better.

yes the all the motor mounts are the same. S4 turbo into a S4 car... please do the math. 86' to 88' is S4 89' to 91' is S5.

your friend probably doesn't know to much about these cars does he?

is the swap a good idea for the time being? I mean i know its N/A but that means less heat under the hood and ****. more room to work on it. I could do a couple mods but nothing major. also where are the sleeves located? I'm not a rotary genious, i'm only 18. but I can do work. is it internal?

is your car a TII? or TII swapped? they are in the LIM, you can take off the actuator to get at them i believe but put them back on afterwards so there are no vacuum leaks. I too, am 18. I now own my own rotary performance shop too.
