Ok, so I start the car, it revs to about 4k, and stays there. I checked the throttle cable and its fine.
I just put the car togethor and the following things have changed since the last time I drove it.
The plug on the BAC broke, and it is now unplugged.
I blocked off the acv with the proper block off plate from mazdatrix.
Im not finding any vacuum leaks and my vac/boost guage is reading normal under vacuum....
whats the deal?

It should be the advanced warm up. Have you let it sit there for a while until the time that it should be warmed up? It should drop down to normal idle after it gets up to temp. If not, then I'm not sure.
Fix the plug on the BAC. All of these devices are there for a purpose. Look in your service manual, and it says, unplug BAC and see if engine speed decreases. Well, if it is already unplugged, what do you think the computer is doing? I think that it is compensating elsewhere for this "non-reading" Just a thought, I'm still learning also. But I bet it takes care of your problem.

could also be a nasty vaccum leak. another forum member had the same problem...turned out to be a cracked LIM...
Its probably a leak after the TB....
Make sure that your TPS wires aren't severed or anything....
