my car is leaking something!!

ok i had noticed that everytime i parked the car and it was raining out when i go to move the car and there is a little rainbow puddle under it so i go and look under the car and see some fluid comming out of some kind of pump (fuel pump?) it is located right beside the gas tank and above the drive shaft seems to be leaking alot of whatever it is but i cannot figgure out what it is or where the leak might be comming from oh ya its an 1988 non turbo

fuel pump is in tank. I know of nothing back there that can leak other than the tank and the rear end. So it must be one of them.

ABS unit?? I don't have ABS on my car so, I'm not sure where the equipment for it is located but, I can't think of any pump that would be back there.

not to insult your intelligence, but fuel filters kinda look like pumps

best way to find out would be to put a peice of white cardboard under your car for one night

based on the color of the fluid, you can figure it out

the rear hatch area has places where it drains water. maybe someone routed it, or its dripping onto something else and in turn onto the ground. just an idea....... identify smell and color!!!

it could just be dripping off the bottom of the car possibly. on asphalt when a lil water puddle accumulates it is rainbow colored becuase of the oils and crap on the surface.
