Just leave it. Say it's got a misfiring system like the Evo in Initial D.

Just let it keep farting. It looks cool.

Maybe too rich?

I don't know if your car is turbo, but if you have a BOV that is vented to the atmosphere, there will be miscalculation on the amount of air going into the engine. If the BOV is not vented back to the air intake pipe, your ECU will think there's more air going into your engine than actual. So it'll providing more gas whenever your BOV opens up(i.e. when you're shifting) and your car will run rich. If it's already rich, the unburnt fuel might come out of your tailpipe.

I had this problem, then for legal reason I put in a silencer just at the tip of my exhaust, and the problem went away

Mine backfires, but since I put a BOV on it, it now backfires in multiples or not at all when it normally would. Is that normal? I have the RB w/ the 3" downpipe.

Rotary's backfire, it's the nature of their game.

"I've seen 2-3 foot flames from t2's. i only get about 1foot flames since i removed my dashpots and opened my exhaust" CHEERS!
