my car idles at 2500RPM how can I lower it more?
I adjusted the throttle cable all the way out and i tightened the screw on the BAC valve all the way in and I still can't get my idle to go down any further...
the only thing I haven't tried is the TPS. but I don't know how to adjust that, and I'm not sure if it can lower the idle by 1300 rpm??
btw this is an s4 turbo and I just rebuilt the motor. everything seems to be working fine except for this ridiculous idle.
I did remove the thermowax from the TB because it was leaking. could this somehow be related?

you need to remove all the fast idle cams from the back of the TB. remove the dash pot (plunger thing). install a solid bolt in place of it and adjust it until it holds idle at 800ish RPM. the "hammer" on the main throttle cam shuold rest up against the tip of this bolt. you may need to back the front idle screw down to get it just right. the throttle cable should be tight. it should have a couple millimeters of play.
