My car has gone lean.. I think.

I tried starting it a few times and it would start up but wouldn't stay alive unless I punched it.
I just found my MAF unplugged and think maybe that was the problem ?
I can't get it to start up still it is acting like it is flooded.

Do the deflooding procedure then try again, if that doesn't work then maybe flooding wasn't the issue.

I've been trying just don't want to keep cranking to unflood and kill the battery.
I assume it is flooded because it smells like gas and it backfires once every few cranks.
