is my car governed?
is my car governed?
i was trying to do a top speed run today, and the speedometer didnt seem to want to go past 120. i shifted to 5th gear and at that speed it didnt seem like the car wanted to move any faster, like it was giving up. is there something i can remove to stop this? or is my car just stuck with it and never going to go any faster.

okay, what the ****! I can go up hills there is a hill, with about an 11 degree gradient up by our local macks, and i was driving behind this guy doing 100 miles an hour....Up a hill! wtf!
i hate that damn 120mph stopping point, mine stops around 122 or so, BUT if you find a nice long downhill on the freeway, oh man...my highest is 140mph, thanks to a downhill, it wold have kept going but when i looked down, and almost shitted myself, i thought it wise to back off. you know, this sucks consiering that i was in my friends 93 prelude when it was bone stock and it grinded out to top gear redline at 140mph, and it kept going past redline,
waah, i want more power, but at least my friends GST is governed and he cant pass me on the free way, that makes me feel a little bit better.

Guys, it's very easy to accurately calculate top speed from power and vice versa if you know the top speed and power of the stock car. So if you're gonna claim top speeds, back it up with some facts...

So you either had 200hp, an inaccurate speedo or you were running downhill.

ive hit 125 and still pulling in arizona where the altitude is fairly high also my speedo is off a lil', it says 77 when im actually going 80 so i duno what that means when im going 125+
I've hit 120MPH fairly easily, and it was still pulling (not alot, but pulling) Im sure I couldve hit around 140 given another 15 seconds or so. Of course that is what the speedo said, so I assume I was actually going 5-15mph slower than that. (All speedometers are off at high speeds)
