Unhappy my car feels slow...

I have all the crap done in my sig.. and to me, it just feels so slow...

For some reason, when i get on it really hard in 1st gear, it boost for a second hard, then it just stops...like it's hitting a brick wall. My tachometer dosn't work but i know it's not redlining at all yet, since it hits the 'wall' so fast...Could this be related to vac or a vac. leak of some sort...or am i just crazy and to used to the feel of a stock turbo rx7...maybe i need a new turbo...but i swear, it used to feel so much faster than this...i don't know what the deal is.

are these symptoms only in first gear or all gears? I would check the turbo just in case. Could the ecu possibly be stuck in limp mode or something?
