Just got my baby back from the paint shop.. All drift damage has been removed!

I do have to ask, though, I thought the 10th AEs were S5. Why the S4 lights?

 

no 10th ae's came out in 88 and s5's came out in 89

10th AE's were only available in 88 and only in white and also had s4 tail lights painted to body color.

 

I had thought you knew better... lol just pokin fun man :-)

Allthough i am sub-curious what the s5 taillights woudl look like mocked up like the s4's being painted white, instead of there being black in the s5's make it clear. probably ugly as hell so i'm going ot take a nap.

That's what I thought... but I was confused by the S5 style trim on the body.. I guess I never got a good look at a 10thAE before.. I am a rotary failure. *cries quietly in corner*...

Actually it just has painted S4 style moldings, the S5 style moldings are still different

 

That hood in the background is just a shell. That guy has his car GUTTED! There is nothing there, and all the support under the hood was removed, so he has a lanyard to hold the hood there. I belive the car was intended to be a rally car, but he's driving it on the street right now.

The car does look good in the pic, though I haven't seen it in person Now we'll have two freshly painted AE's going to SS7... of course mine looks a bit different now

I think they even removed the bottom frame of the hood so it's just a flimsy sheet of metal

 

Yeah, thats Alans car, that thing is totally stripped.
