Check the FSM or Haynes for freeplay limits and adjustments...

You probably just have to adjust your throttle cable. Find it under the hood where it hooks up onto the intake. Right where it goes through the bracket there's an adjusting bolt. It's either that, or it needs adjusted under the pedal. I think those are the only 2 options.

tha cable needs to be ajustid, fo rells. just take a zip tie and tie up the throttle wirez until its tyte. it will fix it fo sho

take your car, and have a mechanic adjust your throttle cable. if you try to do it yourself, you'll more than likely break something.

First question: Are you new to the FC?

The FC (if not all RX-7's) has a very short gas pedal motion. You will get used to it in a couple weeks.

there is no way he can be talking about the gas...must be clutch. I don't even think the throw of the gas pedal is that long in the first place.

are you saying that while letting out the clutch it doesn't grab until about 2.5-3 inches up off the floor?

you, my friend, are crazy.

It would probably be easier if you (the thread starter) could just rephrase the question and detail it more to help us understand it so we can try to come up with an answer for you. I don't even quite understand it myself, so we're not necissairly making fun of you or anything, just the poor phrasing/description of the question.

sorry for the bad phrasing guys.....and yea, im kinda new to the FC (onli had it for a couple of months) lemme try again:

I realized that the Travel of my gas pedal from rest (as in no pressure at all) to the floor is only about 2 or 3 inches. As i was informed above, it is either normal or wrong wiring...I tried flipping through the Haynes manual looking for the gas pedal adjustmentpage, but cant find the section its under ( please tell me if you know...and yes, im horrible with books)

BTW: Thanks
