my brake pedal goes to the floor!

my pedal used to go to the floor right before coming to a complete stop.
The pressure would be good until you were almost completely stopped, then all of a sudden if would go down to the floor.

So i changed all my brakes cuz i needed some new ones, and yes, i did BLEED it from each wheel, but now it always goes down to the floor when braking.

Could it be the brake booster, or the brake master cylinder? What else would you shoot for?

I'd first look at the master cylinder. See if you can see fluid leaking from where the MC meets the booster.

Did you bleed each wheel starting from the right rear, then going to the left rear, then right front, than left front? You've got to bleed the brakes starting from the wheel that is furthest from the master cylinder, then moving closer.

it's NOT your booster. your pedal would be really hard, like you would need both feet to brake it if was out. Proabably your MC has an internal leak somewhere.

The FC does not have diagonal braking - the order of bleeding has no bearing on the linear system in our cars.

It is your master cylinder giving you trouble...if your fluid level is not going down and there is no air in the system - check out your local parts store....I picked up a new master for approx. 75 bucks canadian

great, i'll look into it wednesday. So the right rear, then going to the left rear, then right front, than left front thingy is not true?
I need to check my master cylinder, my brake fluid level stays the same, and i did just bleed the system, so does that pretty much rule out the other things?

On top of that, just to be safe, I'd check the Vac liens that go to the master cylinder. Theyre nearly 20 years old, and not as durable as teh other parts, I had a line rot out, and that caused me to have no assistance from the master cylinder.
The on that usually rots out first is behind the intake elbow abotu the exhaust manifold, it connest the metal firwall tube to nother metal tube. The hose is in the shape of an S

^^

I should have explained a bit more - the right rear, left rear thing IS true...for a car with diagonal braking...our cars don't have diagonal braking

How can you tell if your car has diagonal braking?

if it has a seperate brake line going to each wheel INDIVIDUALLY from the master cylinder I.E. four brake lines coming out of the master fully independant of one another.

the master cylinder doesn't have vaccuum lines, it doesn't "assist" braking in any way, that's the brake booster's job, that's where the vaccuum is.
