Uh-uh. The ECU has a fuel cut set for 8lbs, you have to get a FCD or a standalone to get any higher than that!

these gauges are getting to be 20 years old and arent that accurate to begin with. i suggest you install a nice greddy or hks boost gauge.

Are you reading that on an aftermarket gauge? 5psi is way more than "almost no boost" and will give a considerable performance improvement over no boost at all. However your S5 should be running ~8psi boost stock, so something isn't quite right.

Do you still have stock cats? If so, there's the problem. If not, without some more info (mods, condition, other symptoms) we're just guessing.

Yeah, I atually still have the stock exhaust, other than the mufflers....Thanks a lot for the input. Exhaust is on my list of things to do. How much horsepower can you expect from a full aftermarket exhaust sytem?? What is a good system that you would recomend?

Definitely port the wastegate. That is the ONLY way to stop boost creep, which WILL happen! A full exhaust system should yield you upwards at least 30+ hp (I'm being conservative.)

Racing Beat claims 60hp from their turbo-back, but of course most of that power is from the boost increase that you will see.
