No not relay bu tI jsut dont like the Idea of an unfiltered hole leading to the engine (the on ethat the air pump hose conected to). Although it feels like ait come OUT of it. I'm gona order my block of palte this week so I can remove the ACV that is taking up space.

the ACV is the thing on the side of the engine above the exhaust manifold, and in between the actuators.
Here is a site that shows it, click on the air control valve link.

The block off plates can be found at www.mazdatrix.com
do a search on it.

Yeah. It would be fine. the air pump is held on by like 2 10mm bolts though. It is really easy to remove.

Someone needs to make an archive of exhaust sound clips, so we can hear them all!

carefully back your car up into your room beside the computer desk. WATCH OUT FOR THE MIRRORS! let the computer mic hang down low as close to the pipe as possible... blip the throttle a few times and record 10 seconds or so of idle and revving... then carefully drive your car back out of the house...

sorry. i had to.

record it on cassette if you have to. plug the stereo into the line in on your sound card. capture the audio with any software you can find on tucows for free. save it as a wav file.

I'll host, even though it isn't the fastest connection. Send them my way. Do you have MSN? My email (exchange) server is temporarily down so peer to peer is easier. If the clip isn't too big (less than 1 meg) send it to blake.obrien@eudoramail.com
