Beautiful car, love everything about it!

Happy Birthday!

Are you sure those are the opal finish? They're awefully bright looking...

Yeah, its not meant to be as dark as gunmetal. IT does appear darker in person, it was the camera that caused them to look so shiny. From some angles, they look all chrome, even in person, and there isnt any chrome on them.

I actually havent done **** to these foglights. I have restored fogs, FTPs, and turnsignals on other cars in the past though. You basically take them out, sand them with some fine grit (600-1500) sandpaper and water, then take some kind of wax or polish and buff them back out. I have made old FTPs look new like this. There are several posts detailing different methods if you search, mainly for FTPs.

I actually have this stuff that we use in aviation. Used for aircraft glass. Possibly could work just as well.

aviation huh? you ever hear of some **** people call aircraft polish? This guy used to sell it at the MADS meet in VA, a guy from NJ named gladwyn lopez. I had a faded turbo hood on my car one year, and he demo'd the stuff for me, made it look like a new hood. I used it all, but would love to get more. Any idea?

yeah...expensive stuff. it actually softens the molecules and diffuses it on the upper surface...when it dries its a hard shell. I'll see if I can find some in the hanger.

The guy charged $25/bottle for the ****. He also said that it should be applied to a perfectly cleaned surface, and will work on glass, plastic trim, wheels, almost anything. HE stressed never to touch it with the oily surfaces of your hand, and never to use harsh soap to wash a car treated with teh stuff.

Here are some pics of his car that he claims is original 1991 paint maintained with the stuff. He sold it for $25/bottle, and IMO it is well worth it. IF you run across any let me know.

Very nice choice of seven. And done in a manner not consistant with rice. Had I the means, I might mod my vert in much the same manner. But higher education costs much dinero. I know- I really gotta straighten out my priorities

Damn, that is one hot vert. I love everything about it. The top pic is my new background at work. Gotta love the TII conversion. I'm about to turbo my vert also. Looks great, and happy birthday Kevin.

I also saw them on a black vert, and I think they look great.
