My 87 Rx-7

Hello i am new here, and i just bought my first Rx-7 today. It´s an ´87 N/A car with around 120000km (75000 miles) on it and in pretty good condition. I had never driven an Rx-7 before, and man is this a fun car to drive!
One problem i was hoping somebody could help me with, the sunroof won´t open. The motor runs but the sunroof won´t budge. Do you think it would be enough to take it out and clean the tracks???

gorgeous car. welcome. Sunroofs having issues on our cars are typcial problems. The first thing you can do is run the motor while physically "helping it." Then when you get out out, you can clean the tracks. Most of the time, that's not enough. I still have to give mine a little help

i don't recommend WD40, Steve... it causes a lot of junk (Dirt/etc), to get caught in it, and will eventually make it harder to open... try a powereded graphite or the like, see how that works.

Awesome, they have RX-7s in Iceland! That's so awesome, but I imagine shipping rates on parts are a bitch there? Nice 7.

Yes we do have Rx-7´s here in Iceland, but very few! I don´t think there are more than 3-4 cars of the 2nd gen currently on the street, and around 5 3rd gen.
Getting parts from the dealer is insane of course, its alot cheaper to try to find it online.
I´m having an exhaust system specially made, as the exhaust that is on it now is some kind of hommade crap and its not dual, just one 2.5"pipe, way too loud....
