my 7 is doing strange things
Damn my car to hell, a couple nights ago I went to get something to eat and everything was fine. Then when I got into my car to start it all of my electronics turned on but my starter wouldn't turn over at all. I thought it was my battery and it wasn't, I thought it was my started but its ok and its getting power. I thought it was my ignition but it seems to be ok as well. I also checked to see if the sensor for my clutch is working properly and it is!!! My car still will not start and its pissing me off. What else am I missing? I'm hoping its something simple but I'm thinking I'm going to have to just take it to a mazda specialist and have to pay out the *** to find out what the hell is wrong with my car.

Have you checked the starter connections? Maybe they were knocked loose. Check your fuses as well. Not sure if they starter has a fuse... Check those...
If that doesn't work hit the starter lightly with a hammer or a socket. If it does work after hitting it take the starter off and get it rebuilt (50 bucks)

ya I was thinking there might be a bad connection. there is some oil built up on the wires. Fuses are good. Hoping its just a bad connection. I took the starter in to pep boys and they fired it right up. Amps were good on it too.

its probably the starter switch solenoid does to a point tend to wear out what i did was get a ford start solenoid kit from summit for like 50 dollars and just rewire all the starting problems from the key

I've never seen a real starter tester at PepBoys, NAPA, or Advance. Those models just free spin and tell AMPS, Volts, etc. Real tests involve load testing on the gear.
The last Automotive Parts Rebuilders Association (APRA) show that I went to, the machines were running $15,000 plus.
When my starter failed, of course they had to test it, so I waited patiently for them to tell me that it was good. So, I walked over, put a large screwer driver into the gear and hit the button. Wouldn't even budge. At least, should have thrown the screw driver across the store. After scratching his head, he said that's odd.
After replacing the starter the car ran better. For some reason, prior to the starter problem, the trailing coil would not fire at startups. Only the leading coil. Read someone here that that's common when the computer doesn't read correct voltage at the starter, while starting the car.
