My 66k miles engine tear down *sigh* pics inside:(
Well i got board and tore down my extra engine which is a 66k mile core pulled from a auto rx7...i will tell the story with the pics
Yippie on the bucket and ready to pop it open

All thru bolts out and damm excited to pop the cover and see the condition

There is the rotor all looks good so far!!!!!

I guess it really has 66k miles, usally u never see the plugs in the corner seals

Apex Seals appear to have like No ware

More to come soon

haha, why the sigh?
I tore down my 'spare block' and found out that ALL the side-seals were literally FUSED into their slots, lol. As in, you couldn't even differentiate where the slots WERE... It was just a flat surface with no trace of seals, lol. Oh yeah, NOTHING was reusable except the e-shaft (whoop-dee-doo)
Looks good, time for some porting practice, eh Dustin?

ooo, makes sense, yea erik i wanna build this motor either a large street port or a 1/3 bridge, i wanna be able to build a engine that will 200 at the rear wheels, but i want it to be able to run on the stock ECU for awhile till i can do some Crazy mods.. i just wish that one housing wasent bad, but o well i have more coming !!!! that can be a porting pratice one

Just a slight clarification. You can't prove a low mileage engine just because the rubber plugs are still there. I can't recall ever taking one apart that didn't have the rubber plugs. Even my own engine, with 260K on the clock still had rubber plugs (in great shape, I might add).
Though I must say, the engine looks to be in generally good shape. That's the cleanest set of rotors I've seen in a while.

Both my engines, 150k possibly rebuilt (hard to say) and 130k not rebuilt both had the rubber plugs present still.
Don't do a bridge unless you're going carb or standalone, preferably standalone. "Large" streetports are not always best either, it's about efficiency! Just do a good port and set everything else up based on what kind of port you decide to do.
