hi everyone i just got this car two weeks ago. its a 1987 non turbo, 13b with a 5 speed. car runs great and handles well. a couple of small things bother me. #1 the dash lites wont come on with headlite switch and cant be controled by the reostat. the speedo will lite up when key is turned on though. no a/c controls lites are on. any ideas? #2 fuel consumoption is 15.3 to 15.5 mpg. is this normal? last question, a/c is very cold in mornings and evenings but is very insufficient in the day times. freon quantity is full. any help will greatly appreciated. thanks in advance ARTIE.

 

You need a new headlight switch. Your logicon has issues, you may want to pull it and resolder the logicon.. As far as MPG, check your O2 sensor, replace with the Bosche universal.

Not sure about the lights there a lot that could be wrong there being how the car is new to you. as far as miles per gallon I get 82 miles per tank of gas on my TII, so you are doing better then me. As far as the Bosch universal O2 sensor, they blow. Get a good wide band O2 sensor to send persice reading to your ECU.
