i just closed the deal on an 1986 Rx7 GXL. the car is in mint condition, and i love it. it was the original owner since 86 and theres around 160k on the car and motor. I just wanted to let out the sweet news, and wanted to know wut i should definetly do before i start to rotor around...thanks

Check compression to determine whether engine needs a rebuild

Full Tune Up.

Replace belts, spark plugs, filters, hoses etc.

If bald, get new tires.

Oil Change

If you still have money left over after this, save it for as soon as the next thing breaks. In the mean time save for fuel mods so you can open up the exhaust and intake.

thanks, ill be taking it to mazda soon enough for the compression (my uncles the service/parts manager). i hopefully have money left over, and intake exhaust was first on the to do list after all the rest is taken car of.
