My 10AE is finished! (Pics!)

I bought this car for $2,300 with a known blown apex seal. The mileage on the body and engine was 63,xxx original miles. (Previous owner detonated it with 87 octane, couldn't afford to fix)

We paid Don Marvel (MarvelSpeed) $3600 to rebuild it with 3mm Hurley 2pc with a large streetport.

I then spent a little over $1000 on the BOV, Boost gauge, Profec B, 720ccs, and a Walbro 255, and a few other things.

Got my car back from Don on Saturday. It was having grounding problems - he scared the hell out of me! He said it kept shutting off for no reason, and might have electrical problems. But, finally fixed it!

This thing drives awesome. This is a step up from my FB running on one rotor (lol), and getting in to boost is so easy. I spool at around 2,800, but because of the rebuild break in I can't see any boost until about 2,000

- 3mm Hurley 2pc Rebuild w/ Large Streetport
- Heavily Ported Wastegate
- Greddy Type S BOV
- 2x 720cc Secondary Injectors
- Walbro 255 lp/h
- Greddy Profec B Spec 2
- Intake
- Custom Straight 2.5" Turbo to Catback Downpipe
- FCD

After 3 days I've already put 260 miles on it - I'll be doing my 500 mile oil change next weekend!

Mods are in sig. Next upgrades I'm going to do are in this order:

Apex'I intake (Replace current one, doesn't have intake in the middle of the cone), RacingBeat Turboback, then Haltech.

Right now I'm getting about 14mpg. I need to raise that up to maybe 17 or up.. you guys think a Haltech would do that for me? I figure I can pay for the Haltech in itself if I buy enough gas (I've already bought 29 gallons.. :\). Alot of the wasted gas was from the very first 100 miles, my gas mileage was very bad. Also, after my oil change and after another 1,000 miles, do you figure my mileage might naturally go up?

I've already flooded a few times (My fault), so I think when I take it to Don for the oil change, I'm going to have him install the fuel cut switch. (Damn you, S4s..)

Also: The wheels were on the car from the guy I bought it from. I want to change them - they don't look right! I'm thinking about a nice set of white TE37s when I have the cash.. only problem is that could pay for a Haltech. Performance before show!

Who in Fale's *** puts those kind of wheels on an RX-7? It's no wonder it blew it seal, it didn't want to be seen in public!

It looks like the rest of it is coming along well although. I can't wait to see the final results.

No airpump, get a dual pulley so you don't blow your only waterpump belt Is your afm upside down?

Lay of the wheels guys, he's just blown like $5k on his car, and I doubt they on a high priority list.

Plus I'm sure the MGB that they came off of aren't missing them lol.

Nice job on bringing a 10th back to life!

Im not a big fan of the 100-spoke-wheel type deal. But the car looks great, plus bonus points for the RedSuns sticker.

For the LOVE OF GOD!!! You live in Texas, pull those wheels off asap and toss them over the Rio Grande where they belong. It's not an RX-Seville

Aside from that, awesome car. I've been looking from something like that.

Wadda jou guys talk'n 'bout? Those rims look hot ese!

Nice job on the engine - and like you said, go before show! Besides, you can always get stock rims cheap while you wait to harvest your money tree for the Volks.

I'd gladly ditch the wheels as soon as I could find some way to sell the current ones. I know nothing about the offset or size of them, which makes it hard to sell. I also know nothing of what size wheels I will need to replace them.

I wish someone would do a straight up trade, but good luck! Hahah.

Someone put a tacky sticker on your car.

You should also run a dual belt pully on the alternator to avoid slippage on the water pump if you have removed your air pump.

Nice car! Good job.

As far as the wheel comments. Can't any of you read?
