I bought the car off my supervisors brother, he just wanted it gone, other then the obvious damage it will probably need a motor, but i had to buy it!...

$100 for the car, then $85 for towing, so far, so good....

 

I'd say that's a pretty sweet deal for under 200. Throw in just 1 mazdaspeed seat in there and new steering wheel. Those things would be gone soon anyways. Nice deal.

 

For $100, you really made out like a bandit. If anything you can part the car out and make back your money and then some.

Well they were unable to steal the car so they were pissed and stole the steering wheel and seat.
I bought my fc and someone had tried to steal it before I bought it. Thery weren't going anywhere with a bad battery.

Really good deal, I envy how lucky you are man. Is there any rust? It must have lsd because it is a gxl right?

I got the same car without a spoiler for $895 but mine came with a buttload of mold and a steeringwheel and a seat. Cost me $300 to tow it, and no rust on mine.

 

mine only has rust on the rear wheel-wells which is not a problem since i can fix that easily....

someone smashed the window, stole the shifter, steering wheel, and seat which was all MOMO, so the previous owner was pissed and crushed so he let it go for cheap....

i tried starting it just now and i get lights, heater, etc etc but the idiot lights dont come on and when i go to crank it over nothing happens....

any idea where i should start with diagnosing the problem?...

do you even get a clicking noise when you hit the ignition??? umm try taking the plugs out and grabbing the front pully and rotating the motor.. see if it moves or not.. just some ideas

 

starter?

 

tap the starter a couple times and see what happens it maybe just be stuck from the sit period . mine did the same thing.do you have a full charge when you turn the key( battery gauge). its not the main battery fuse cause your lights and stuff come on . do we have a clutch sensor i dont remember. if so maybe thats bad...

if it's an 86, it will start without pressing the clutch (assuming it will start). Anything later than an 86 and you need to press the clutch.
