Muffler options

Okay there are a million threads on this topic but its all relative so I wanted to get some opinions on what muffler style would be best for me.

I have a 13b large streetport with a t70 turbo. Currently I have a Corksport exhaust with out cats/presilencer. Externally vented wastegate.

I previously had a racing beat NA exhaust on my turbo setup cause it was very quiet and enjoyable. I was having a lot of restriction problems especially with spooling the turbo. Between shifts the exhaust would actually work against the turbo and it would have to respool on every shift.

I went to a single corksport turbo exhaust. It is great in the fact that it fixed all my spool and restriction problems. The problem now is my car is too loud to be enjoyable. The car is not a daily driver so I am fine with it being loud, just not this loud.

I just have a few questions as I would like to put on another muffler this weekend.

-If I installed a high-flow muffler instead of a pre-silencer would I have a noticeable increase in restriction and be back to square one? Every bit of spool time on this turbo is important.

-If I did go with a muffler should I go with a deflection style, or straight through. I would prefer deflection because of the sound deadening abilities, however am I going notice a jump in restriction between the two?

-Everyone seems to recommend magnaflows, will other mufflers such as dynomax or flowmaster hold up?

As mentioned earlier exhaust set-ups are commonly preference so please help me in my quest to have a powerful rx7 that does not sound like poop.

That's all you ever need... magnaflows and the others are OK, this is what you want though...

The Borla XR-1 series mufflers are great has in line pre-silencer type mufflers they tuck away nicely and can handle rotary heat. Magnaflow makes an excellent quality canister type muffler. A friend has one on his N/a MKIII supra, just 2.5" piping to the can and it sounds excellent, not a hint of rasp, real deep and throaty.

After more research I decided to just get a straight through magnaflow. I want the biggest chamber possible with a 3in/out.

http://www.magnaflow.com/02product/u...sp?shape=round

Either I will go with the 6 inch diameter 18 inch long or the 5 inch diameter 14 inch long.

Do you think I could fit the 6 inch diameter? I know the length should fit.

I did also look into the RB but decided against it because the magnaflow is about 20 dollars cheaper and has a lifetime warranty.
