msd ignition help!!

well i installed a msd 6al on my rex in auguast of 2001 and had it running for about a year until last aug. when my stock radiator gave out. the mazda repair shop took my msd off so they could fix the radiator and everything but did not put it back on. however ive tried to reconnect the box but it doesnt seem to work properly, its getting power and i think it's reciving singnals but its not sending power to the coil. it was mounted ontop of the fan shroud and might of gotten some water/coolant from the radiator on it but all the wires were dry when it happened. i guess my question is what possibly could of gone wrong with the box to render it useless. ive always heard they are reliable parts so im just frustrated. anyways any help would be good...i dont want to spend another 100+ bucks to get a new one.

The only way I know how to test the MSD, is to hook everything up and toggle the thin white wire to ground yourself.&nbsp The coil (pack) needs to be powered.&nbsp A spark should trigger when the thin white wires come OFF ground.

If the MSD is dead, try and open the chassis up.&nbsp I can usually fix 90% of those things just be looking for obvious blow traces on the circuit board.
