MSD Blaster SS coil install on NA RX-7

I am going to be putting in 4 msd coils in my cousin's '86 rx-7. He will be using the stock ignition system, but will be replacing the coils and wires only. I was wondering if anyone has done this or knows a good link on which wire is ignition and which is negative. If this isn't the best way at going at this, let me know. To be honest, I know very little about Wankel motors, so this is fairly new stuff to me.

Yes they have.

That should do it! The pics are high res so you can see the wiring.

Good luck!

By the way, I wouldn't worry about the trailing coils. Just do the two leading coils.

There you are.

To answer my original question, can you used the Coil Packs In conjuction with the Crane Cams Ignition Box?

Yeah should work fine. there's no "Specific proprietary link" between the coils or the CDI. I'm sure MSD claims lots of crazy things about improvements with using their **** together, but cranecams have the fireball coils and they don't do anything special, nor do they require you to use the Cranecams HI-6 to used them.

Just make sure you're not using the Cranecams Hi-6s which is only an Amplifier, not a true CDI.

You shouldn't waste your time and money. The stock ignition system is excellant. Just get yourself a new set of plugs and a good set of wires.
