Arrow msd 6a install

hey i got a msd 6a for cheap and im reading the manual. It says that some cars may have issues with the tach and such and may need additional parts. DOes anyone with experience know if ill need anythign else and if so what?

Also when it comes to the distributor part of the connection what do I do?

Crane HI-6 wiring is the same as MSD. I used this myself.
