motor swap little question ?
hi, all
I just swap my 88 N/A motor with a 86 N/A motor. I swap it with the motor harness.
I swap only the motor and nothing else. I plug everithing and now the new motor desn't start. I check if the gas is build some pressure and the pressure is correct. I wonder if i have to swap something else to make it running ...
thanx

all 86-88 N/A engines are basically the same. You didnt need to swap the engine harness either. Does the car crank at all, and just not start, or does it not even crank? Did you check to see if your spark plugs are firing? Have you made sure everything is plugged in (AFM especially).

yes the motor cranck, but doesn't start. I didn't check if I got fire from spark plug. The AFM plug on the 86 harness is missing one finger on the plug so i wondering if i have to use the 86 AFM too ?? because my 88 plug have all the finger on the plug.
And for the fuel lines, I try to invert them but not help.. I have the line from the filter closer to the firewall. I thing this is the right order .. some one can comfirm this..
I also need to know if the chamber 1 is in the from of the motor or in the back.. (for fire order)

'86 injectors are low impedance, and use a resistor block up under the air filter to match them to the ECU. By 1988, Mazda was using high impedance injectors without that resistor block. Make sure you have correctly matched the ECU to the injectors.......
Bonne chance.....
