Motor Swap in an '88 RX7 GTU

I'm lookin for a new engine for my 88 GTU since my sister blew the motor in it while I've been in Iraq. I've been lookin at a T2 motor for it, but I found a 3 rotor for about 2000, any suggestions? Would I need to replace the ECU and wiring harness, what else would I need for the swap?

Any help would be appreciated.

you would need custom motor mounts, wiring, computer, and probably many other things as well, search around, I can guarantee this has been covered.

wrong answer.

multiply that by 3.

it costs almost 2 grand for the stand alone itself.

then there fuel mods. then there's a bunch of other things. id say 25 grand to be on the safe side.

you'd want to at least rebuild the engine. then get a custome turbo kit, custome mounts, custome everything almost.

You don't have to turbo it though, and that would save you some money.

Do a little searching and you will find that you do not need 25 grand for this swap.

he's right. I once built a 3 rotor RX7 for a customer of mine and it cost a total of 5 thousand. I did however make my own mounts and a few other things. Basically I knew a guy in japan that did this sorta thing a lot and he gave me many tips on what I need to do it all. It was however a non turbo but I don't see how hard it would have been to actually turbo it. It turned out really nice and for about 5 thousand, not... 25?!
