motor still can't start........why?
I've got decent compression and fuel is going to the engine but the motor cant start. Is the fuel pump resistor relay supposed to click when i turn the key because it doesn't right now. All of the fuses are good when I checked. What about spark plugs, do they have anything to do with the problem? Leading on the bottom and trailing on top right? Which wires go to which plugs? What are the numbers to those wires to plugs? What does it mean when the engine is flooded? Can engine grounds be the case?

First off, is this a motor swap? Bought it not running? What?
The fuel pump resistor relay may or may not click - that's probably not the problem.
I'm assuming also that the motor is spinning, but just won't catch. Does the motor sound "smooth" when it spins, or does it make the "puh-puh-puh-puh" kind of sound as you turn it over?

you can start an engine with the plugs wrong and it probally is flooded if not and its not really getting fuel you could A. fuel enter and return lines crossed and that will make it not start or B. your fuel pump is not sending fuel makes sure you follow the haynes manual and jump the sensor to see if the pump is working when the key is in the on position
