Question motor selection help!!!!

I have a 87 GXL 5speed with a blown motor. I found a series 5 auto motor cheap with low miles and was wondering if it will work on my series 4 and what I would have to change. Thanks for the help Dave

Direct bolt in. The only thing that really changed between s4 and s5 in n/a motors is rotor compression, I beleive.

Computer and AFM are different as well. You should be able to just swap the short block and keep the rest of the stuff though.

Good luck! The s5 engine is so fun! I love mine, considering it is a 91, I guess I had no choice! But I love beating s4's!
