Unhappy Motor problem (hiccups) - Please help

Hi,

I own a rx-7 and i have a motor problem.
When I use it, the motor starts to go down and up. sometimes, it's just "stuck", and i press the acellarator and nothing happens. in a second or to it acellarates, until it goes down again... it's like it has hiccups!!!

I don't know if it a durty motor, if it needs oil, I simplyu don't know and the mechanicals here in Portugal don't know how to help me.

Thanks for any help

Rui C

When you start the car, does the idle move? After 15 minutes does it stop moving? If that's the case, there's a strong possibility that the throttle position sensor needs to be replaced.

How's Portugal? My brother loves Spain...

I don't know.
When I start the car, it goes up and down alone... is that what you're asking? - yes. for 15 minutes... I'll have to test....
Do you think that Mazda has that specific part? And what about prices?

As to your question.... Portugal is a beautiful country, with warm weather and magnific food. It's a great place to live in!! :-)
