I recently discovered that one of my motor mounts was bad, so i placed an order with mazda for a new set. I got the set home and started to remove the old mounts and noticed that both of the mounts currently on the car appear circular, whereas the ones mazda gave me arent. The passenger side mount is circular and the driver side is square. Before i go thru doing all this work can anyone verify that these are the correct mounts. The car is a 1990 Convertible.

 

Convertible mounts are different than coupe mounts

 

yeah, the guy at mazda told me the same thing. One of the mounts appears to fit (the passenger side). The driver side appears to be wrong though. Does anyone know if the brace maybe is just circular and the mount inside is square???
