more random stuff.. DIY grounds
yea. i did my own grounds. im so manly.
on my s4 my goal was to get good injector ground and good block ground, as well as body grounds.
right now ive got a wire running
off the fuel rail (12mm bolt)
10mm bolt below the CAS
and ive got the coilpack mounts grounded as well
also grounded strut towers and front bulkhead
edit: all of these run directly to the - terminal
any suggestions on what i missed/ or if i screwed up? the car seems to have less low end punch with the coilpacks grounded, does this sound right?
ALso in another thread i was reading about adjusting the CAS by ear.. is this safe? right now my car has a very steady snarl sound to it, like someone snoring or snarling exactly (i know you all just snarled to yourself..) it sounds like that. the stock mufflers are gutted possibly, thats my only explanation.
im looking for some cheap power here.

we were refering to adjusting the CAS by ear ONLY when the traditional methods to achieve a decent idle fail...IMO the most important ground you can add to the car is from the harness ground on the rear rotor housing (which consist of at least 2 of the ECU grounds) directly to the firewall...the current from the ground at the tranny has to travel from the rear housing to the rotor housing before getting to the harness ground, and if you've ever torn an engine down you know how dirty the mating surfaces are between the housings. If your chassis grounds are nice & clean, you don't need all the add-on grounds...

well what can i say.. i like that it looks pretty and i had excellent results with my ep3..
to acess this ground on the rear rotor i have to lift my car right? the entire bottom half of the motor is covered in grease and crap.

rs 1101, you just have to pull the upper intake off to access that ground- you can't miss it...bingoboy, 3 of the 4 grounds the ECU uses goes to that rear rotor housing grounding point...

its an added ground on the fuel rail, do you think it would be better to just double ground the stock manifold ground?
oh my bad.. the rear rotor ground is under the uim? sweet.. i can do it when i redo my manifold.. i plan on cleaning the uim/bac area soon.
