More exhaust issues.

Was wondering what options I would have for an exhaust header and what gains it would give.

I have aftermarket exhaust after the manifold... wanted to see what I can get done here because I keep blowing gaskets... and I think it might actually be leaking at the manifold now!

Was wondering what are some names I could check out and prices that I should expect to see.

Thanks a bunch!!

If you keep blowing gaskets, I would assume there is some sort of restriction forcing them to leak. You might have clogged up cats, which tends to be pretty common with our cars. Are they still the origional cats and exhaust?

If you keep blowning the gasket between the manifold and block your manifold might be warped and needs machining. this kept happening to me until a got it machined lucky i'm only using my own gasket and not the very $$$ mazda item.

I have a hi-flow cat and if I am going to go for the exhaust header... I was thinking of doing straight pipe.

I will do the search and see what I come up with.

Any tips are appreciated on cheap headers.

Thanks!

its not expensive, only $134, but thats the road race one, streetable one is $187. or you can do what i did and get the modified road race header with the 5th and 6th port actuation bung welded on from mazdatrix for $200, comes out to $240 with a gasket and a flange but its well worth it!
